Exploring the Use of Corpus Linguistics Research Methods
The second BAAL Corpus Linguistics SIG Symposium of 2024 will be hosted on Zoom on Wednesday 27 March 2024 and will focus on Exploring the Use of Corpus Linguistics Research Methods with talks addressing a range of topics, including understanding vocabulary development in L1 & L2 student writing, methodological considerations in selecting/designing corpus tools, inter-coder reliability measures in corpus-based studies of metadiscourse, building corpora of student academic writing in EMI contexts, ethical considerations/methodological issues in creating a corpus of YL disciplinary writing, compiling Aeronautical English corpora, p-frames in Health Science Research Articles, compilation of learner corpora and more.
